Tennis balls

60 seconds with Stan Wawrinka

60 seconds with Stan Wawrinka, who will carry Switzerland’s flag at the Opening Ceremony, and who plays Andy Murray in the first round.

The actor I would like to play me in a film about my life: Mark Wahlberg.
If I wasn’t a tennis player, I would be: A cook.
I never travel to a tournament without: My phone.
My favourite city on the tour: Melbourne.
The last place I went to on holiday: Mauritius.
My favourite restaurant on the tour: I actually prefer to be at home having dinner with family and friends.
My favourite shop on the tour: I don’t have one place I really like to go to. I like to have a look around at different places and check things out.
The last film I watched. Sherlock Holmes 2.
The last album I listened to: Coldplay.
The last meal I cooked: A barbecue.
The last joke I laughed at: I was watching a French movie the other day. That was funny.
The last time I was recognised in public: Today.
The last time I broke a racket. Not so long ago actually, at the French Open. But I didn’t mean to break it. I was hitting a smash, my racket flew away, and it broke.
Grass, hard or clay? Clay.
Sand or snow? Sand.
Which super-power would you choose – to be invisible or fly? Ha, ha, good one. I think to be invisible.
If I was in a karaoke bar, the song I would choose: I’m a terrible singer, but I would go for U2’s ‘Where The Streets Have No Name’.
If I won the lottery I would: Buy a big, big house.
